Description
This design is excellent for matching both long and short length wire antennas for multiband use and will typically allow the internal tuner of most rigs to tune remotely mounted single wire antennas. This unit is a single core version of the model 9135 for those who do not require higher power capability and is also lighter weight.
To obtain the lowest SWR across most if not all HF bands, this unun is designed to be used with various predetermined wire lengths as shown in the link below. It is not intended for use with a random wire length.
I had time to work the bands with my modest KX3 with 10 watts to my 124.5' long wire with both your 9:1 and 1:1 installed as directed. First I am hearing more distant stations than I ever have in all my years of being a ham. Here are some confirmed contacts:
20m - India (a first)
80m - Russia & Italy (another first)
20, 15 & 10 - work into Japan consistently
10m - Patagonia Argentina
I attribute these results with your products and would highly recommend them to anyone. Best of all I can work every band with great results on 160-10m. Not bad for just a piece of wire!!

I received my UNUN with no problems in Perth, Australia. I will say that after unscrewing the cover to have a peek inside the workmanship looks absolutely brilliant. I'm VERY impressed with the construction, good to see there are still folks out there that take pride in their work.
Thanks very much for a great product,
John
Installation Notes and Recommended Wire Lengths
This unun should be used with the wire lengths listed in the table shown in the above link. Use of the 9132 for "random" wire lengths, other than shown, can potentially create an impedance that is too low for an ATU to match. If a wire length not shown in the table is installed, an antenna analyzer should used to determine the actual feedpoint impedance that will require matching for each band of operation.
Please note that short antenna lengths will not be capable of performing as a highly efficient antenna, especially on lower bands. The intent of this unun is to allow HF coverage in restricted installations such as HOA managed communities. Longer wire lengths will always be more efficient and provide better performance.
Caution
Ununs are intended for use with unbalanced antennas such as verticals and long wires.
They will not work with balanced designs such as dipoles or loops and use with a balanced antenna may cause erratic operation and/or damage to the unit.
